Men’s skin is thicker than women. As a result, men’s way of taking good care of their skin is slightly different from women. They often need to shave off their facial hair, which women do not have.

Avoid using bar soaps, because this can remove the regular pH of your skin. Make it a habit to wash your face twice daily.

Exfoliate your skin. Exfoliating is essential because washing the face does not remove all the dirt on the skin. Exfoliating the skin also helps get rid of the dead skin cells. If done three times every week, you will have a smoother and cleaner skin. Excess oils can also be removed through exfoliation. Exfoliation is done with the help of loofah and rinsing it with cool water.

Keeping the skin hydrated is also essential. Remember to drink at least eight glasses of water daily to prevent the skin from sagging. Water can also flush out toxins in your body that helps in improving your skin.

Moisturizers help a lot in making your skin healthy. Oil-free moisturizers must be used if you have oily skin. Toners can dry out the skin. If you will use toner, be sure to use it in moderation.

The type of diet you are eating affects your skin. What you are eating reflects on the type of skin you have. If you eat fresh fruits and vegetables, chances are, your skin will be smooth and healthy. However, if you smoke and drink unhealthy beverages, sagging and aging will appear sooner.

Vitamin supplements and creams are also essential. Your skin will look less stressed if you will take vitamin supplements. Moreover, applying sunscreen when you are going out of the house is a must, this will prevent your skin from being damaged by the harmful rays of the sun.  Use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or greater.

Sleep is very essential if you want to care for your skin. Those dark circles around your eyes will be lessen if you will have enough sleep. Stress and other unfavorable conditions may aggravate your skin, leading to eczema, acne and blisters. The recommended amount of sleep for men is at least 7-8 hours per night.
